Course Overview

AFN International Conference

Virtual | November 5–6

The AFN International Conference is a two-day virtual professional learning event designed to advance forensic nursing practice through education, collaboration, and connection. The conference welcomes novice and experienced forensic nursing professionals, along with interdisciplinary partners who support patients and communities affected by violence and trauma.

Through expert presentations and collaborative discussion, participants will explore current and emerging issues, strengthen clinical knowledge, and examine evidence-informed approaches to trauma-informed, patient-centered care. The virtual format offers opportunities to connect with colleagues across geographic boundaries, exchange diverse perspectives, and identify resources that support practice, education, and advocacy.

The conference connects clinical insight with real-world application, emphasizing the role of forensic nurses and allied professionals in supporting survivors, promoting equitable access to care, and strengthening systems that respond to violence and trauma.
